Course Registration
Students at Johnson & Wales University register for classes using uconnect, the university’s online web services site. Certain courses have pre/co-requisite requirements and restrictions, and may not be offered each term. Setting aside the appropriate time to plan your registration will help you save time and successfully meet your graduation requirements.
Student Academic & Financial Services (SAFS) will register classes for new freshman and transfer day students for their first term of enrollment. Also, SAFS will register classes for specialized programs, as indicated (consult SAFS as needed).
Full-time enrollment
Full-time status is determined on a term/semester term basis. Students should realize that in order to receive financial aid and to be eligible for athletics, they must maintain full-time status. Additionally, insurance companies and scholarship foundations frequently require students to maintain full-time status.
- Full-time status for undergraduate students is a minimum of 12.0 credits each term.
- International undegraduate students must schedule a minimum of 13.5 credits in order to be considered full-time.
- Full-time status for graduate students is a minimum of 9.0 credits each term.
- Graduate students enrolled in any undergraduate prerequisite courses (accounting and hospitality students) must maintain a minimum of 12.0 credits to be considered full-time.
- When enrolled in doctoral level courses, students are considered full-time if enrolled in 12.0 credits each semester.
