JWU North Miami : Transfer Policy : Residency Requirement

Residency Requirement

The residency requirement refers to the number of courses and credits students must take at Johnson & Wales University to be eligible to receive a degree and diploma, whether the student is transferring in credits or pursuing an additional degree. Standardized testing credits are not considered when determining residency requirements.

  • In an associate degree program, a minimum of 31.5 credits, half of which must be within the major field, must be earned at JWU.
  • In a bachelor's degree program, a minimum of 45 credits, half of which must be in the major field, must be earned at JWU.

Refer to the Student Handbook for the full Residency Requirement policy, which includes information regarding the pursuit of additional degrees.
