Transfer within JWU

It is possible to transfer from one program to another or from one Johnson & Wales University campus to another. Interested students must consult with an academic counselor in Student Academic & Financial Services (SAFS) to initiate a request. Note, however, that not all programs of study are available at each campus and approval of requests are subject to the following conditions:

  • Financial obligations at the originating campus must be satisfied to be eligible for transfer (consult SAFS to determine eligibility).
  • The student must have submitted verification of high school completion and/or a copy of a resident alien card, if applicable.
  • Approval may be required from the dean of students, if necessary, and students with less than a 2.0 GPA must be approved by an academic counselor in SAFS.
  • Approval is contingent upon class availability.
  • The student must address housing concerns and proper dress codes at the new campus.
  • The student must web register for courses at the new campus and follow the curriculum based on the catalog requirements of the new campus.
  • Students are required to comply with the medical documentation/immunization requirements of their new campus. A Health Services Hold will be placed on the student’s account if the proper documentation has not been submitted. Students will have no more than one term to meet these requirements.
