A native of Germany, Armin Gronert has been a Johnson & Wales University faculty member since 1991. He is a Certified German Master Pastry Chef, and has taught at the Culinary Institute of America and the Trident Technical College of Charleston. As a baking and pastry instructor, he has taught a variety of courses including: Hot & Cold Desserts, Baking Formula Technology, Breads and Rolls, Classical Tortes and his specialty, Chocolate and Sugar Artistry.
Gronert owned a sugar design school in Germany for three years and currently owns Rococo Bakery in Charleston, S.C. He has worked in several positions at bakeries and hotels in Germany and the West Indies.
