As assistant professor in The Hospitality College, CharLee Puckett joined JWU in 2002. His career expertise is in front-of-house operations and event planning. As director of Catering and Events for Universal Studios in Hollywood, Calif., he oversaw premiere parties for such blockbusters as Jurassic Park, Robin Hood and Back to the Future III. In addition, he has designed and directed the operations for post-award receptions for the Academy Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. He has also designed and implemented large-scale events for such nonprofits as The Ronald McDonald House, Project Literacy and Meals on Wheels. He is a member of the International Society of Event Specialists (ISES).
