Jane Bowers graduated from Hartwick College where she majored in political science. She worked in the hospitality industry, in hotels and resorts along the east coast of the United States while attending college and upon graduation. In the early 70s, she opened her own gourmet seafood restaurant on Cape Cod, which she successfully managed for almost twenty years. Her first position within education was as a food and beverage instructor at Paul Smith's College at Hotel Saranac. She began her career at Johnson & Wales University on Practicum Properties as Food & Beverage Director at the Warwick, Rhode Island facilities. While Director of Career Development at JWU’s Providence Campus, she earned her master's degree in hospitality administration. She has worked in admissions for several years, and in her free time she loves to visit her grandchildren, garden, cook, and go Model T-ing!
