Professor Ken Tadikonda and JWU's College of Business students are offering free tax preparation services through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program (TCE). The VITA Program provides free tax help to low- to moderate-income people who cannot prepare their own tax returns.
VITA volunteers receive training and are certified to offer assistance preparing basic tax returns. The program will run every Saturday from 10am-2pm in the School of Education, room 102 until April 12, 2009.
If you would like to take advantage of these services, please visit the IRS website, for a list of what to bring with you to have your tax returns prepared.
