Student ID

Issued to all enrolled students, the Wildcat Card is the official JWU student identification (ID) card. Your ID card enables you to:

  • attend university-sponsored events
  • gain access to student residences, library, athletic and computer facilities
  • obtain uniforms through the bookstore
  • request transcripts and degree audits
  • access meal plans
  • pay by bookcharge, check or credit card
  • sell back textbooks

You can obtain an ID either at Safety & Security or the Student Accounts window at Student Financial Services. Lost or stolen cards should be reported to Safety and Security and/or Student Financial Services immediately.

Your ID must be carried at all times and presented upon request to authorized university representatives. For instance, when purchasing tickets at the bookstore or attending on-campus events, you may be asked to show your ID.

Meal Plan The Wildcat Card is the only means for accessing your student meal plan, including any Add-on Dollars added to your account.

Library Barcode Your ID also enables you to borrow books and other materials from the JWU Library. To activate the card's library bar code, present it at the circulation desk, along with your contact information.

Building Access Most of the residence halls at the North Miami Campus require that all students, residents and visitors alike, present a valid JWU ID in order to gain access. For the safety of all residents and visitors, all residence halls require that visitors be signed in by a resident, who must present a valid JWU ID, as well as appropriate identification for his or her visitor.

In many cases, the Wildcat Card also serves as your room key.
