The North Miami Campus' office of Information Technology offers a full range of computer services. While you are not required to have a computer on campus, you may find it useful to have a laptop with wireless capabilities.

Email
The office of Information Technology coordinates all email services for students. Once you begin classes, the university exclusively uses your JWU email account for all official correspondence.

To have your email password reset, use the “Password Reset Manager” or visit a lab assistant in the main computer lab (Academic & Student Center 106).

uconnect
uconnect is the university’s Web services site that helps students schedule classes, view final grades and review financial account information.

You may access uconnect online or through self-service terminals located throughout campus, including the Academic & Student Center and in the lobby of Student Academic & Financial Services.

You can reset your uconnect PIN online. To do so, enter your J#, select the “Forgot PIN” option, then answer a series of security questions. If you need additional assistance, visit Student Academic & Financial Services.

Wireless Hotspots
Free wireless Internet access is available in all residence halls, as well as throughout University Center, the Academic and Student centers, and the Recreation Center. To access the network you will need a computer with wireless capabilities.

Residential Hall Connectivity
Free wireless Internet access is available in all residence halls. In addition, pre-wired high-speed Internet access is available in Tropical Pointe; you will need an Ethernet cable to connect.

Free Antivirus Software
Virus protection software is available free of charge for resident student’s computers.

Library Research Terminals
Nineteen research terminals with printing capability are available in the Library.

High Tech at the Bookstore
Our bookstore carries a wide variety of computer accessories, including laptops, printers, wireless cards, Ethernet cables, speakers, USB drives, CD-Rs, laptop locks and more.

Cyber Café
Enjoy coffee or refreshments while wirelessly surfing the Internet from your laptop. The café provides four computer terminals with Internet access, as well as a print station. Students must supply their own paper.
