Every member of the Johnson & Wales University (JWU) community is an ambassador for the university. Whether you are communicating with students (prospective or current), parents, co-workers, alumni, media, donors or members of the community, your message is interpreted as the university’s message.
As you communicate about JWU, we encourage you to use, reference and adhere to JWU’s Graphic and Editorial Standards Guide (Standards). Through clarity of message and identity we will support advancing the university’s position in the field of higher education and ensure a stronger university reputation, visibility and recognition.
As part of our strategic plan, FOCUS 2011, the Creative Services Group (CSG) was charged with ensuring that a strong university identity exists across all four campuses that articulates our academic quality and experiential educational model to internal and external audiences. CSG developed and implemented the Standards in October 2007. This resource provides writing and design standards for JWU communications and a level of transparency to ensure we’re all communicating in a consistent and aligned manner.
