Community Service

Community service-learning is an integral part of academic life at the Denver Campus.

JWU student volunteers at Denver Rescue MissionLast year, students completed more than 30,000 hours of community service through volunteer activities and service-learning courses.

Leadership is a foundational principle at JWU, and community involvement is encouraged at all levels — by students, faculty and administration.

JWU is committed to collaborating with nonprofits in the local community, and expresses its support through in-kind and monetary contributions for local initiatives in neighboring communities.

Directed Work Experience
Focusing on a specific industry-based project, directed work experiences provide an opportunity to apply newly acquired skills and knowledge in a supervised, non-paid industry or community setting.
