Academic and Financial AdvisingJWU offers a variety of services to help you prepare for graduation and a career. In addition to maintaining your official academic and financial records, a Student Academic and Financial Online Advisor is available to assist with your academic progress and registration, and to discuss your balance and available payment options. The mission of our advisor is to educate and counsel students, helping them to successfully manage their academic and financial needs. Toward that end we will:
Payment Policies and Financial AidPrior to each term payment deadline date, you must select (or maintain) an approved payment plan. Failure to satisfy this requirement will result in the removal of your schedule for that term and/or a financial hold will be placed on your account. In either case, you will be unable to begin class. A variety of payment options are available (online/monthly payments, company reimbursement, Veteran’s Administration benefits). Additionally, students who demonstrate financial need, commitment to their online degree program, or other circumstances will be considered for grants, loans, and other forms of aid. To begin the process, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (JWU’s school code is 003404). You are eligible to receive federal financial aid as long as you maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined in the Catalog and the Online Campus Student Handbook.Contact a Student Academic and Financial AdvisorThe advisor will assist with questions pertaining to registration, financial aid, payment requirements and general policies.
