Paul DeVries has been teaching for more than 12 years. Prior to coming to Johnson & Wales, he taught at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh, Pa. DeVries spent 18 years gaining culinary experience in his native country of England, traveling extensively throughout France, Spain and Switzerland. He graduated from Plymouth College, England, with a diploma in Restaurant Operations and graduated from Le Lycée Professionnel in Arbois, France. DeVries is an honors and Dean’s Scholar graduate of Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, a Certified Dining Room Professional, Food Management Professional and a certified instructor for the National Restaurant Association.
