Johnson & Wales University : Academic Records

Academic Records

Many of your records, such as grades, address, phone and degree information may be accessed securely via jwuLink. In compliance with federal and institutional privacy policies, your records may be released (to you or another party) only upon your official authorization.

The university does not mail term grade reports. Although grades for online courses are viewable in ulearn course sites, all official grades are available online via jwuLink, where you may access grades securely and print them at your discretion. Once grades are available, a notification is sent to your JWU email account.

Addresses and Mail
While the use of email is strongly emphasized, the university will also correspond with you by mail. In order for the university to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, including in emergency situations, you are required to manage and update your address and telephone contact information so they remain current.

  • You are required to maintain a permanent address.
  • If you have no active address on record, you will have a schedule hold placed on your account.
  • Your diploma will be mailed to the address that was provided on your graduation application.
  • If you are employed by the university, you must also notify Student Employment of any change in address.
  • The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires that all aliens (i.e., international students) residing in the United States report all changes of address to the USCIS within 10 days of any move that takes place within the United States by completing Form AR-11, also available from International Student Services. Post office box addresses will not be accepted in any address for international students.
  • On Campus/Commuter Address (required) is classified as the address of residence during enrollment. Additionally, you are required to maintain a cell phone number with this address, which is vital in cases of emergency. Post office box addresses will not be accepted for this address.

Permanent Address is classified as your home address. Mailing Address is the preferred mailing address during enrollment. Most correspondence from the university will be sent to this address. If no Mailing Address exists on record, the Permanent Address will be used.
