After graduating from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C., with a bachelor’s degree in biology and French, Rhonda Stewart served as a crew member on private yachts in Chicago, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean for five years. After that, Stewart ran her own catering business in Charlotte, serving the local film production community as well as working as a food stylist for television commercials. After completing the IBPI program at the Charleston Campus in 1998, Stewart worked as a pastry chef at Rococo Bakery for several years. Stewart’s career continued at O’Hara and Flynn Wine and Gourmet Cheese Shoppe as the gourmet foods manager. She then worked for Catering by Caroline in Charleston, providing all the breads, pastries, specialty cakes and wedding cakes.
