Johnson & Wales University To Host Global Professionals Forum

DENVER – October 1, 2009 – The Denver Campus of Johnson & Wales University (JWU) is pleased to host a networking event for Coloradoans to learn more about International Business. Seminars on best international practices will be presented by a variety of professionals from the local international business community including Rosie Branstetter (Fiveseed), Zach Frederick (Frederick Export), Aaron Caplan (Perry International), Roy Becker (Roy Becker Seminars), and Pam Erbes (Waddell & Reed).

The workshops will be offered at no charge and free parking is provided. Benefits include obtaining high caliber content related to international business, the ability to network with professionals in the field, and the ability to recruit qualified JWU students for your business. The campus is a short distance, only seven miles east, from the Rocky Mountain World Trade Center. Refreshments will be provided and presenters will have booths to provide attendees with further information.

Zach has over 10 years experience managing global sales and marketing programs. His business, Frederick Export, specializes in developing export programs for U.S. manufacturers. Zach currently oversees accounts in more than 70 countries and is proud to say his business has returned increased results for his clients every year since starting in 2003.

Kelly Kasic is the coordinator for the Global Professionals Forum. She works for Johnson and Wales as the Director of Industry Relations. She is also the founder, owner, and President of her company, GLOBAL ID, LLC, which is a Management Consulting and International Market Research company that assists small- to medium-sized businesses.

Aaron Caplan has been working with Perry International's passport, visa and authentication services for 19 years. He has worked with various US Passport Offices and foreign consulates and embassies in Denver, Chicago and Washington DC.

Roy Becker Seminars specializes in International Banking, Letters of Credit, Incoterms, Writing Procedures, Process Mapping, and In-House Training. Roy Becker has 30 years of experience as an international banker. He consults and trains importers and exporters on international trade. Additionally, Mr. Becker teaches classes in the international MBA programs at University of Denver and University of Colorado, Denver.

Pam Erbes graduated from Colorado Women’s College with a degree in English and secondary education. In addition to holding the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, she also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from The American College in 1986. After five years of teaching for Adams County District #12, Pam became an Account Executive for a major New York Stock Exchange firm, in order to pursue her interest in financial markets. Pam joined Wally at Waddell & Reed in 2002 to help serve a growing client base.
