Gretchen Guertin led the Student Retention Team for 7 years and served as the Director of the Leadership Development Center and as an Associate Professor in the Social Sciences Department of the John Hazen White School of Arts & Sciences. She teaches Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Principles of Management and EntrepreneurshipGuertin’ s experience is in Educational Administration, Leadership, and Management, especially international staffing and property management, having owned her own firm. She previously served as a classroom teacher in the public school systems in Missouri and Kansas. Guertin co-authored “Cost of Care Analysis,” which was commissioned by the Rhode Island Coalition for Public Policy. She also authored “The Impact of Employer-Supported Child Care on Absenteeism and Turnover,” a study commissioned by Lt. Gov. Robert Weygand’s Commission of Early Education.
