Gretchen Guertin leads the Student Retention Team for the College of Business and has served as the Director of the Leadership Development Center and as an Associate Professor in the Social Sciences Department of the John Hazen White School of Arts & Sciences. She also teaches Organizational Behavior.Guertin's experience is in Educational Administration, Leadership, and Management, especially international staffing and property management, having owned her own firm. She previously served as a classroom teacher in the public school systems in Missouri and Kansas. Guertin co-authored “Cost of Care Analysis,” which was commissioned by the Rhode Island Coalition for Public Policy. She also authored “The Impact of Employer-Supported Child Care on Absenteeism and Turnover,” a study commissioned by Lt. Gov. Robert Weygand’s Commission of Early Education.
