Application Requirements

When applying for admission to JWU as an exchange student, you must prepare the following documents:

• A copy of the picture page of your passport
• A completed Exchange Student Application Form (142K PDF)
  This form must contain a complete itinerary of your intended length of stay at JWU, as approved by your university in conjunction with JWU’s international office.
• An original (not scanned) bank statement
• Academic transcript from your university
• TOEFL or IELTS score (unless a native speaker of English or enrolled in an academic program conducted in English)
• Resume or curriculum vitae

Web-based statements must have a bank stamp of verification. The bank balance should more than cover the cost of your room, board, textbooks, health insurance, airfare, etc. The amount should be for at least $6500 USD per three month term that you are staying. If the cost of room and board is included in your exchange program, your bank letter must be for $3500 per three month term. If you are unsure of the financial arrangements for your program, contact your advisor.

Once you’ve been accepted, we will email you an Accepted Student Information Guide, which will include your letter of invitation, DS-2019, SEVIS fee and additional information that you will need before you enter the US.
