To supplement the administrative and maintenance costs of the Student and Exchange Information System (SEVIS), all new F-1 visa applicants must pay a one-time I-901 SEVIS Fee of $200. This fee is not initiated by Johnson & Wales University, but by the US Federal Government. The following students must pay the I-901 SEVIS fee:
The fee can be paid to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by mail or online; payment must be accompanied by a completed I-901 Form. Bring the I-901 SEVIS fee receipt with you to the US Embassy when you have your scheduled visa appointment.
