Do not engage in any kind of employment until you are certain that you have proper authorization.

International students may work on campus without applying to USCIS for work authorization. On-campus employment must be limited to a total of 20 hours per week while school is in session, and up to 32 hours per week during vacation breaks.

Job listings for on-campus positions can be found in the Student Employment Office, which is located in the Gateway Center 4th Floor, Suite 412.

Off-campus employment may only be granted after applying to USCIS through the International Center. Do not work off campus without authorization from USCIS.

F-1 students who drop below full-time status, or who have otherwise failed to maintain status, must discontinue on-campus employment immediately.
