Felice D. Billups teaches in Johnson & Wales University’s Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, including courses in Research Methods for Higher Education Leaders, Organizational Theory & Behavior in Higher Education, and workshops on mixed methods, qualitative research design and qualitative data analysis strategies.
Billups’ professional expertise includes higher education administration, institutional planning and accreditation and assessment. Her prior administrative experience includes her work as Director of Institutional Research & Planning, VP for Institutional Advancement and Director of Student Information Systems for Rhode Island School of Design.
She is a consultant specializing in institutional research, planning, and accreditation/self-study for colleges and non-profit organizations, and a New England Association of Schools & Colleges Accreditation team chair/evaluator.
Billups' academic research focuses on collegiate culture, organizational theory and behavior, student satisfaction and retention, and the graduate student experience.
She is a member of the American Educational Research Association/Northeast Educational Research Association, New England Educational Research Association, American Evaluation Association, Association for Institutional Research, Society for College and University Planning and the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators.
Billups is also an editorial board member for the Journal of Planning for Higher Education, a peer-reviewed publication sponsored by the Society for College & University Planning.
She also serves as a program reviewer for the American Educational Research Association, the National Association of Student Personnel, and the Association for Institutional Research/ Northeast Association for Institutional Research.
Billups currently serves on the Distinguished Mentor Award Committee for the Northeast Educational Research Association.
