Crime Alerts These alerts inform the community about criminal activity and assist in maintaining a safer environment for all. Crime alerts are published throughout campus. Any incidents that require immediate notification to the JWU community are posted in administrative and academic buildings, residence halls and other gathering places.

If you have a valid Florida driver’s license, you may also register your emergency and next of kin information through the State of Florida’s Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
Project ID This service aids in the recovery of lost or stolen items. Valuables are engraved with a unique number, which is entered into a database with your information. For more information, contact the Crime Prevention Unit at 305-892-7639.
Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) SystemNew to the North Miami Campus, the RAD System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. This comprehensive course for women begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training.
Self-defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange (SAFE) This 2-hour educational awareness and crime-victim prevention program encompasses Strategies, Techniques, Options, and Prevention to provides teen & adult women with information that may reduce their risk of exposure to violence and introduces them to the physical aspects of self-defense.
