Bruehwiler is a third-generation baker who learned the art of breads in his grandfather’s bakery in Switzerland. Arriving in the US in 1985, his career took him to major hotels in major cities, including Houston, Chicago and Atlanta.

In Atlanta, he and his wife established Bruehwiler’s Bakery, carrying on the family tradition for 12 years. In 2002, they relocated the bakery to Old Saybrook, Conn.
