Saiyeda Khatun came to Johnson & Wales University from a teaching career in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and specializes in postcolonial literature. She has an extensive background in teaching composition and literature. Her research interests include literary theory, feminism, cultural studies and South Asian literature. Her work has appeared in Genders, MELEUS and South Asian Review, and is presently working on a translation of Bengali poetry.
