State Aid
JWU participates in the North Carolina Need Based Scholarship program.
Preliminary awards are determined by the state of North Carolina; award amounts range from $600 to $6,800 and are based on financial need. To be considered, you must complete the FAFSA as soon as possible since the program's funding may be limited; if you file later, funds may no longer be available. There are additional criteria for eligibility.
For example, students must be a legal resident of the state of North Carolina; cannot possess a previous bachelor's degree; must be enrolled in a degree program and maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
