Early Enrollment and Transfer Programs for High School Juniors

JWU Admissions High School Juniors Early Enrollment Program (EEP)Looking to get a jump-start on your college education? Through JWU's innovative Early Enrollment Program (EEP), you can enroll full time at JWU during your senior year of high school.

Why early enrollment?

  • You graduate earlier and get started on your career that much sooner.
  • Tremendous cost savings. Through EEP, first-year tuition costs half the regular JWU tuition — and you’ll still be eligible for JWU scholarships.
  • Enjoy the best of both worlds: the benefits of being a JWU college student while still taking part in high school activities — including graduation.

Learn more about the EEP program (596K PDF), including qualifications. To apply, complete the EEP application and agreement form (280K PDF) during your junior year.

Transferring Your High School Credits
There are several high school programs that JWU recognizes and accepts for college credit.

Advanced Placement JWU will give transfer credit for Advanced Placement exam(s) if you’ve passed the exam with a score of a 3 or better and have passed the class in high school.

National Academy Foundation Enrollment in a National Academy Foundation program in your high school may qualify you for transfer credit and a $1,000 scholarship.

ProStart If you are enrolled in ProStart®, you may be eligible for transfer credit and a $1,000 scholarship. To transfer credits, you must first complete the required admissions application and submit an official high school transcript. Upon acceptance to JWU, you will be eligible for consideration of the articulation agreement. Additional requirements:

  • submit a letter of recommendation from your ProStart instructor
  • submit proof that you earned 80% on the NRAEF’s ProStart final exam
  • submit a copy of the awarded ProStart certificate
  • have earned a minimum grade of “B” in the evaluated ProStart program
  • have earned an overall “C” average in high school
  • have earned a minimum grade of 75 or better on the required JWU exam

If you submit a valid sanitation certificate approved by the Conference for Food Protection, you will be exempt from FSM1065.
