Online Learning Application

To apply for one of our online bachelor of science degree programs, you must currently hold an associate of science degree in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry Arts from an accredited institution in the US or from a government-recognized school outside the US. To get started, submit an application (fee waived) by choosing one of these options:

• Download an application (200K PDF) to complete and return to us by mail

Request and submit the following documents (where applicable):

• High school transcript or GED (20K PDF)
• College/university transcript(s) listing earned academic credits (20K PDF)
• FAFSA form (Use JWU school code: 003404)
• Company reimbursement form (49K PDF)

Be sure to complete the application in full and submit all necessary documents, as an incomplete application may delay processing.

There’s no application fee or deadline, but enrollment for the Culinary Arts & Food Service Management and Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management programs is limited. We recommend you apply a minimum of 4 weeks in advance before classes begin.

An admissions officer will help you plan a program of study, discuss transfer credits, financial aid, class schedules and answer any questions you may have about the application process.

Conditions of enrollment:

1. All invoices are payable prior to the beginning of classes. Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards are honored.
2. Johnson & Wales University has a tuition refund policy. Please refer to the most recent JWU Online Catalog.
3. Credit for any completed course is not given until all financial obligations have been cleared.
4. Johnson & Wales University reserves the right to modify its curriculum, tuition rates, program, rules and regulations.
5. The university reserves the right to schedule subjects within the curriculum in the order deemed necessary.
6. The university reserves the right to cancel any course or program announced due to insufficient enrollment.

Residents of Arkansas and Wisconsin are not eligible to enroll in JWU's online bachelor's degree program in Food Service Management. Instead, they may apply for acceptance to one of the university's on-campus programs. Current students of the online program who become residents of Arkansas or Wisconsin will no longer be eligible to continue in the program.
