North Miami Campus Unveils Plans for New Student Center and Residence Hall

JWU’s North Miami Campus continues to grow, with two new buildings set to open by 2011.

The campus recently announced plans for the new Wildcat Student Life and Athletics Center. The student center will serve as a gathering place for student clubs and organizations, Greek Life events and student government functions.

The Wildcat Center will be home to the men’s and women’s basketball teams. The expanded facility gives the athletic program at North Miami room to grow, with new men’s and women’s volleyball programs set for next year as well.

Meanwhile, construction continues on the new Biscayne Commons residence hall. JWU broke ground on the new dorm this spring, and 200 students will be able to enjoy the courtyard swimming pool and spacious double occupancy rooms next year.

This new dorm will also house a new Health and Wildcat Wellness Community as the campus expands its successful Living Learning Communities concept.
