Darlene Cantor, director, Experiential Education & Career Services, 305-892-7066 Darlene joined JWU in 1994; before that, she served director of placement for a local travel school. She has a Master’s in Education from Regent University. Experiential Education Mary Buckley, director, 305-892-7618 Mary began her career at JWU as a teaching assistant, Fellow and MDP. She then chose to go into the food service industry after receiving her Master’s in Hospitality administration. Debra Bartkowski, coordinator, 305-892-7074 Debra brings 22 years of experience from the Fashion/Retail Industry. She joined the JWU in Admissions to help students transition into the industry, and this brought her at EE&CS. Debra is completing her Master’s in Organizational Learning and Leadership specializing in Higher Education Administration at Barry University.
Jennifer Coisson, coordinator, 305-892-5394Jennifer has experience working with non-traditional, international, and post-graduate students. She has also worked in Health and Wellness, Leadership and Ethics, and Substance Abuse services. Jennifer has a Master of Education in Student Affairs and College Counseling, and is working on her PhD in Higher Education Leadership.James Sturgeon, coordinator, 305-892-7047 Jim has 25 years of experience from the Hotel, Food & Beverage industry.
Tabitha Smith, coordinator, 305-892-5380 Tabitha has worked in higher education advising students both academically and professionally, providing programming that facilitates the growth and development of college students. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University and her Master’s degree in Counselor Education, with a concentration in Student Affairs, from Clemson University.
Myrlande Thelusme, coordinator, 980-598-1203 Myrlande has over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit and hospitality sectors. Myrlande has always had a passion for helping and working with students, which lead her to a career at JWU. With a a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University, Myrlande became an Internship Coordinator at the Charlotte campus in 2008 before moving to the Miami campus in 2012.
