VA Hayman Barber, director of Experiential Education & Career Services, 303-256-9716VA has worked in higher education for over 10 years including Semester At Sea. She has worked in residence life, student affairs, admissions and directed a career center for five years before coming to JWU. VA has a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Denver.Experiential Education Greg Lorenz, PhD, dean, 303-256-9322 Greg came to JWU in 2000, after a career in the health/fitness, exercise science industry and teaching. He has a Doctorate from Colorado State University.
Eileen Walsh, assistant director, 303-256-9503 Eileen began her career at Johnson & Wales as an adjunct professor after spending many years in a variety of Foodservice Management segments. She has an MBA from West Chester University.
Katie Mangett, coordinator, 303-256-9304Katie has an extensive background in all areas of hospitality working in field and corporate operations. In addition to her experience in hospitality, Katie taught high school for 10 years.Chris Martin, coordinator, 303-256-9336 Chris brings over 20 years of food service and education experience to JWU. He joined the University in 2007 after earning his Masters degree from Regis University.
Kara Tanja, coordinator, 303-256-9578Kara has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She has experience in hotels, event management, customer service, and accounting. Rommel Victoria, career advisor, 303-256-9341 Rommel brings 21 years of experience from the hotel management industry, mainly in operational and administrative positions across the country.
