Nondiscrimination Statement

Johnson & Wales University does not discriminate unlawfully on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information or disability, in admission to, access to, treatment of, or employment in its programs and activities.

(The term “sexual orientation” shall mean and be limited to having an orientation for or being identified as having an orientation for heterosexuality, bisexuality, or homosexuality. This Non-Discrimination Policy shall not be interpreted to prohibit Johnson & Wales University from maintaining separate facilities, sports teams, housing, university-based social fraternities and sororities, and other programs and facilities, for males and females, in accordance with the provisions of Section 16-38-1.1 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, as the same may be amended from time to time, or similar laws applicable in other states where the university conducts its operations).
