Explore Your Career Interests

Determine which career paths best fit your particular skills and passions. Industry leaders are on campus to give you an insider’s look at your field. And our experts connect you with site visits and work experience at top companies to give you a better feel for your options.

But first, your career plan starts with self assessment. Knowing what drives you, and taking inventory of the skills you have, will get you on a career path that inspires you.

Making the best career choices means taking the time for reflection. As you explore your career interests, think about the following things:

  • What do you like to do? Think about experiences you have enjoyed.
  • What kind of school, social, community or sports activities do you like?
  • What challenges did the activities offer?
  • What skills do you need to develop to continue in those activities?
  • Which jobs are associated with the things you like to do?
  • In what industry do you want to work?
  • Where do you want to be five years after graduation? Ten years?
  • What career positions will you take you there? Entry-level? Mid-level?
  • Who can help you to meet your career goals?
