Prior to joining the faculty at Johnson and Wales University, Barbara Kamp conducted research at the National Resource Center on Nutrition, Physical Activity and Aging at Florida International University, Miami, FL. She coordinated a nation-wide demonstration project of Steps to Healthier Aging; Eat Better and Move More, a nutrition and physical activity program she designed specifically to improve the health and well-being of older adults.
A Registered Dietitian, Kamp has a wide range of experience in the food industry and worked at the Doral Saturnia International Spa and Resort, where she perfected her skill in the art and science of preparing healthy, low fat, high taste foods.
