Clubs

There are a number of hospitality-related clubs and organizations that can provide you with the opportunity to learn trends in your particular career area from professionals in the field. As a member you can attend professional events as volunteers, participate in local and national professional conferences, and occasionally meet with industry leaders at local chapter events.

Adventure Club
This club focuses on growing popularity of adventure tourism through out the year. Members engage in different adventure tourism activities which can create exciting destinations, including white water rafting, mountain climbing and mountain biking.

Club Managers Association (CMA) The CMA strives to support the successful and efficient operation of membership clubs across the country. Its 7000 members manage over 3000 private clubs, from country and golf to yacht and athletic clubs.

Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) The ESD is an International Hospitality Student Honor Society administered through the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE). This society leads future industry leaders in hospitality and tourism to the highest levels of professionalism and achievement.

Hospitality Sales & Meeting Management Association International (HSMAI)
HSMAI is the organization for hospitality professionals involved in sales, marketing and meeting management. Local, statewide and national meetings and conferences provide members with the opportunity to network and to sharpen their skills through educational presentations.

International Association of Assembly Managers, Inc. (IAAM) Representing public assembly facilities from around the globe, IAAM members include managers and senior executives from auditorium, arenas, convention centers, exhibit halls, stadiums, performing arts theaters, and amphitheaters. Member facilities represent huge expenditures of public and private funds. They attract millions of patrons to an astonishing variety of events from football to basketball, from baseball to hockey, from rock concerts to conventions, conferences, ballets...the list is almost endless.

International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA) The IFSEA provides personal and professional development opportunities for Foodservice Professionals, including professional certifications.

International Special Events Society (ISES)
The ISES is the premier professional development organization for the special events industry. Members can learn of critical trends and best practices in the industry and participation in the international conference provides opportunities to meet and network with other event professionals from around the world.

National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH)
NSMH was originally organized as the professional organization for minority hospitality students but is now open to all students committed to the importance of addressing issues of diversity and multiculturalism for future success in the hospitality industry. Local, regional and national meetings and conferences provide opportunities for students to connect with industry leaders.

Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA)
The Professional Convention Management Association is a nonprofit international association of professionals in the meetings industry whose mission is to deliver breakthrough education and promote the value of professional convention management.

Society For Foodservice Management (SFM)
SFM is the professional organization for managers in the on-site foodservice industry, providing programs and networking opportunities to assist members to attain their career and business objectives.

Travel & Tourism Club The Travel & Tourism Club affords members the opportunity to travel and experience a variety of destinations and to learn of trends and changes in the international tourism industry.
