Is community service important to you in your college search?

The Charlotte Campus has been selected for the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for the fifth year in a row — we may be the perfect fit for you.

Different Approach to Service
The honor roll is the highest federal recognition for colleges doing exemplary service in America’s communities.

We're one of only 114 schools in the country to make the honor roll “with distinction." And we're the only university in Charlotte to do so!

How is JWU different? We actually build community service right into our curriculum. You’ll have the chance to help people while you build the skills you need for a successful career.

Build Career Skills by Volunteering
Your options are limitless. If you’re a culinary or hospitality student, you could teach at-risk kids about nutrition.

Do you want to study business? You can do free consulting for nonprofits. No matter what career path you choose at JWU, you’ll have plenty of opportunities not only to volunteer, but to do hands-on work that relates to your career.

Make an Impact at JWU
Last year, our students did over 24,000 hours of community service! Join us this year, when we hope to do even more. Visit us to get started.
