Before coming to Johnson & Wales University, Allison Kramer taught Psychology, Counseling and Human Services courses at the State University of New York in Loch Sheldrake, at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, Colorado, and at Colorado State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Addictions Counselor, and an Approved Domestic Violence Offender Treatment Provider in Colorado. In addition to teaching, Kramer also had a private mental health counseling practice in Fort Collins. Kramer has published articles in peer reviewed journals, including Community College Journal of Research and Practice and Professional Psychology: Research and Practice. She has authored book chapters in Explorations in Diversity: Examining Privilege and Oppression in a Multicultural Society and in the American Psychological Association Handbook of Ethics in Psychology.
