JWU Chefs Whip Up Recipes at New England’s Largest Flower Show

JWU chef-instructor Linda Kane and students make soup at the RI Flower Show.PROVIDENCE, RI - February 28, 2012 - This year’s edition of the RI Flower & Garden Show had a new addition: the Food & Wine Festival, a celebration of locally-sourced cuisine.

Eighteen chefs from all over the world demonstrated their favorite recipes, including 4 from JWU’s College of Culinary Arts: Frank Terranova of Channel 10’s “Cooking with Class”, Linda Kane, Branden Lewis and Mike Makuch.

Hands-on Experience for Culinary Students
JWU culinary students got amazing hands-on experience as assistants throughout the demos, showing attendees details about particular techniques used in the recipes and answering questions from the audience.
