JWU Dressage Team Places 1st in Northeast

Advances to Intercollegiate Dressage Nationals

PROVIDENCE, RI — April 19, 2012 — Johnson & Wales University’s Dressage Team placed first this weekend at a regional competition, ensuring their place in the national competition to be held April 28-29 at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ. The competition was held this weekend at JWU’s Center for Equine Studies in Rehoboth, Mass.

Led by Assistant Professor Crystal Taylor, JWU will be represented at the Intercollegiate Dressage Nationals on team day by the following students: Chloe Cosgrove from Corpus Christi, Texas; Anne Appelbaum from Villanova, Pennsylvania; Tierney Hassell from Charleston, South Carolina and Jessica Mitchell from Derry, New Hampshire. On individual day, the two riders who qualified are Chloe Cosgrove, competing at First Level, and Grace Pratico from Deerfield Beach, Florida, competing at the Introductory Level.
