Wells Fargo Community Outreach Program

Wells Fargo, a leading financial institution with corporate headquarters in Charlotte, has joined forces with the Charlotte Campus to promote leadership and volunteerism among students, faculty, and staff.

The goal of the Wells Fargo Community Outreach Program is to make a difference in the Charlotte community through community service learning, volunteer programs, and in-kind support particularly in the focus areas of hunger, homelessness, and education. By becoming involved with community activities students will enhance their classroom knowledge with real-life issues and gain practical experience in ethics, leadership, and social responsibility.

Community Outreach provides:

• Site assignments for Community Service Learning
• Information on local volunteer opportunities
• A resource center for student organizations in need of service opportunities
• A link for community groups to the Charlotte Campus

Community Outreach also works with the Human Resources on the Federal Community Service Work Study Program to provide students with opportunities to earn their work study awards at nonprofit community partner sites, and with Experiential Education & Career Services to place students at local non-profit organizations.
