Open since 2002, Lakeside Towers features such amenities as apartment-style living, on-site laundry facilities, fully functional kitchens, and private baths. Common areas are fully-equipped and include a TV lounge, a game room and a computer lab with Internet access. Each room offers cable and wireless Internet access.
The hall houses 196 residents in efficiencies as well as one- and two-bedroom suites. Accessed via swipe-card, the hall is home to the Culinary, Cultural Learning and Hospitality learning communities. Residents have access to a swimming pool, as well as a barbeque area. Culinary Learning Community Housed on the 3rd floor of Lakeside Towers, the Culinary Learning Community provides an opportunity for a limited number of first-year students to work alongside JWU culinary faculty outside of the classroom, as well as such activities as hearing distinguished speakers and visiting local restaurants.
The Cultural Learning CommunityLocated on the 1st floor of Lakeside Towers, The Cultural Learning Community offers returning students the opportunity to learn about cultural diversity in the greater Ft. Lauderdale and Miami areas. These students will attend local events such as plays, concerts, museums, movies and even cultural arts festivals while working with campus administrators.
