Intern Joins JWU Team at Miami Resort

"I'm having a BLAST," says JWU student Lucy. No wonder; at One Bal Harbour Resort & Spa, one of Miami's hottest hotels, Lucy's working on events, meetings, weddings and more — with a team of JWU interns in many different departments.

"I get to work with friends!" Lucy says. "Everyone here is from JWU."

"At JWU, everyone's here for a reason. It's because they love to work in this hospitality industry."

"So you can intern anywhere — in the kitchen, restaurant, sales & marketing (that's where I am). You have HR, front desk, housekeeping... It takes a lot of teamwork."

"The big motto here is 'Make a difference,'" Lucy says. "You have the power to do whatever to make the client happy. You have that position, to be a leader."
