Before joining the faculty of his alma mater, Branden Lewis was the Chef Instructor at The Genesis Center, an adult education and workforce development program located in Providence, R. I. An expert in plant-based cuisine, since coming to JWU he has been one of the team members responsible for the development of the new Wellness and Sustainability concentration. Lewis is committed to the sustainable food movement. In 2008, he was named one of Edible Rhody Magazine's Food Heroes. As an undergraduate, he was selected for numerous awards and recognition including the Gaebe Award and the Trustees' Award. To support his college education, he worked at local establishments, and had gained international experience at Le Poussin at Parkhill in Lyndhurst, England and The Mandarin Oriental Hôtel du Rhône in Geneva, Switzerland.
