What was your MBA experience like? The program was very flexible. While I was a student, I worked as an event manager 5 days a week at a wonderful venue, which was perfect for my class schedule. The work load was enough to keep me busy but not overwhelmed.

How has your MBA helped you? I feel it has opened so many doors in my line of work since it’s a specialized industry.

I had to work hard to get into the position that I’m in today. But I knew going into my program my ideal job would be a meeting planner position with a large company where I planned their events exclusively. I kept my eye on the prize and found that to be worth it in the end.

Why JWU? Johnson & Wales University is a school that cares about the outcome of their students. I like that it focuses on the hospitality industry because it’s a business that is available all over the world.

They really give you the best idea of what it will be like when you finally do get that job after you graduate.
