Daniel Ofstein, Ed.D., director of residential life 305-892-7055 Dan joined our team in June of 2001. He comes to us from Stetson University, where he was an assistant director of Residential Life. Dan holds a Master of Science in Higher Education from Florida State University and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Louis Kaminski, assistant director of residential life, Biscayne Commons305-892-7642Lou joined the department in the August of 2008. He holds both a MA and BS in Criminal Justice from the University of Pennsylvania. Lou most recently worked as a Residence Hall Director at SUNY Institute of Technology in upstate New York. Laurie Doherty, residential life placement coordinator, Wildcat Center 305-892-7585 Laurie joined Residential Life in May of 2007 from JWU's Facilities Department. She maintains the North Miami online housing system and is is responsible for all student placements.
Amanda Williams, residence director, Tropical Pointe and Palm Gardens 305-892-5353 Amanda joined the staff in July of 2011. She has a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising from the University of Wisconsin. She also holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from St. Cloud State University where she worked as the graduate advisor for the fraternity and sorority learning community. Cathee Hill, residence director, Lakeside Towers and Emerald Lake Hall305-892-7651Cathee joined the staff in August of 2007. She has a bachelor’s degree in Fashion and Retail Merchandising from Lasell College, where she served as a Resident Assistant for two years.
Bryan Faucher, residence director, Flamingo Hall and Arch Creek Place305-892-7563 Bryan joined the Residential Life team in July of 2008. He holds a BA in Psychology from Franklin Pierce College. Prior to working at JWU, Bryan was a Resident Director at Worcester State College; he also worked as an Upward Bound tutor and counselor at Keene State College.
