The Center for Academic Support provides free peer and professional tutoring in many content area classes, study skills workshops and academic counseling. Special Needs students may access accommodations through the Center for Academic Support.

Tutoring Students are urged to take the initiative in seeking out-of-class help during faculty office hours and through The Center for Academic Support. Peer and professional tutoring is available in math, science, accounting, writing, most major courses and study strategies.

Study Skills Workshops are designed to help students study and succeed at JWU are offered each term. Workshop topics include Time Management, Note-taking Strategies, Reading to Learn, Learning Styles & Study Strategies, Test Preparation & Test Taking Strategies, Essay & Research Paper Writing, Punctuation Workshops, Locus Control Math Workshops and Overcoming Writers Block.
