Residential Life offers a variety of leadership-based employment opportunities for students, including Resident Assistant, Community Manager and Student Assistant positions. We also employ a number of Federal Work-Study positions in our traditional residence halls.
Resident Assistants (RAs) and Community Managers (CMs) are full-time undergraduates who work in residence halls to help students make a successful transition to on-campus life. RAs work in traditional residence hall communities; CMs oversee apartment-style housing. They must be able to balance several multidimensional roles, including advisor, administrator, role model and peer resource.
In order to secure an RA or CA position, you must be a full-time student who has lived on campus for a minimum of 3 terms by your start date. Additionally, CMs must have completed at least 90 credit hours of course work by their start date.
In order to remain in the RA/CM program, you are required to live on campus, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and have had no significant student conduct history.
Applications are accepted year-round; however, the largest recruitment takes place Dec and Jan for the following fall term. For more information about the process, email us.
