Lisa Kendall joined the faculty of Johnson & Wales University, Norfolk Campus, where she served as department chair for the College of Arts & Sciences. In 2001, she became JWU'S Community Service Learning Coordinator and since 2004 has been the Honors Program Director for the Charlotte Campus. In 2008 she was the recipient of the Charlotte Campus Arts & Sciences Teacher of the Year Award.
Along with her teaching responsibilities she has served as library assistant and Writing Center staff member.
A strong supporter of the community both on and off campus, Kendall has been a member of the board of directors of Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and volunteers with Shelter for Battered Women.
