Chef Bruce Ozga joined the faculty of Johnson & Wales University in 1998, and is presently the dean of culinary education. In 2001, he was named dean of culinary education at JWU's Denver Campus; he returned to JWU's North Miami Campus in 2005. Before joining JWU he served as director of culinary arts at Galveston College’s Culinary Arts Academy. His experience in the food service industry spans two and a half decades and five different states. He honed his skills in several Connecticut-area restaurants, including the 1784 Inn, Norwich Inn and Spa, and New Haven's United Restaurant Services.He is certified by the American Culinary Federation as a Certified Executive Chef (CEC) and Certified Culinary Educator (CCE), as well as a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE). In 2007, he was honored by the American Culinary Federation as the Southeast Chef Educator of the Year; in 2008, he was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs.
