Carrie Hegnauer has been with JWU for more than 10 years. She received an associate degree in culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in food service management, graduating summa cum laude. Leonard was also the President’s Award recipient in 1994. She holds an advanced certification in Wines and Spirits from WSET and is an advisor for the Wine and Beer Educational Society. Hegnauer founded Black Tie Servers, Inc. and was featured on the cover of Hampton Roads Woman Magazine. She served as the guest speaker for the International Food Services Executives Association conference in Virginia.
