An expert in fine wines and spirits, Jennifer Pereira began her career at Johnson & Wales University in 2003, teaching certificate courses to local professionals and enthusiasts through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. The following year she earned the First Year Faculty Award for her teaching and educational efforts, and the department's Service Award the year after that. Pereira also serves as faculty advisor for JbeW, the student brewing club. This student-run club utilizes the state-of-the-art brewing facilities in the Coors Beverage Laboratory, which allows students to participate in and study the brewer’s art.Pereira holds a diploma in Wine & Spirits from WSET. She is also a certified wine educator from the Society of Wine Educators and a ServSafe Alcohol Trainer from the NRAEF and Certified Beer Judge through the Beer Judging Certification Program (BJCP).
